Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. The Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared during her stage debut. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage performer in a few Broadway plays before breaking through into national fame with the release of Li'l Abner's debut in 1957. She released her album It's too late for Tina that in the same year. Louise made her foray into Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The movie received wide acclaim as well as Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's student. Her most memorable performance came with the year 1964, when she enrolled with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise continued to juggle her work effectively between Broadway television and Hollywood portraying somber characters as against her perceived image of an attractive model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she was also a prominent director of popular television shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Her family moved out of Essex to Toronto and she lived there for childhood and adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived there ever since.
